Witches Hats

Wow! Did I have fun with these witches hats. As I was playing with my new Epson 1430 printer I thought wonder what it would look like if I put a gray piece of cardstock in the printer when printing out my digital paper. I totally loved the look it gave it - almost a sort of vintage look.

This first one is entitled Carpe Nocterm.
Papers from Chillingsworth Manor -Digi from ~ Jessica Sprage
Witches Hat is from SVG Cuts ~ Gimme Candy Boxes SVG Kit, Banner from Happy Thanks SVG Kit
Stamp on the Banner is from ~ Punkin Patch Stamps
Twine from ~ Trendy Twine

I added holes to the hat band and strung the Trendy Twine thru.
Going to enter their challenge and also Anything But A Card's Latest Challenge!

This one is called Oct 31st

Thought I'd show you how different it looks printing on the gray vs the white paper.
I love the look of the gray paper.

Here is a look at the top off the base - plenty of room for treats!

So that wraps up my Halloween Treats! What will be next? Maybe some Thanksgiving and then on to Christmas.

Halloween Treats

Halloween is right around the corner. Do you have your treats done yet? Well I do - as of a today! I wanted to do something easy since I had to make 22 of them.

I used the Cracker SVG file from Gingerbread Chalet Village SVG Kit. It is a small file but I even made it a little bit smaller so I could 4 on a 12x12 mat. (Size was 5.291" wide x 5.776" high)

For this first batch I used DCWV papers from their Midnight Spell Stack (from 2011). I finished them all off with some ribbon and some new Trendy Twine I just picked up.

For this second batch I printing my own paper using the Echo Park Chillingsworth Manor digi kit. I picked it up on JessicaSprague.com - for $1! I recently purchased the Epson 1430 and this my first try on printing my own paper and I love it.

For the tags I used elements from Echo Park Chillingsworth Manor Element Pack 1 digi kit plus I added some of my own text within the ecal program. I did the print and cut feature on my computer and Sizzix eclips. Have to say it worked perfect. I even cut out the hole to insert the twine so it was super easy.

Wondering what I put in my cracker? - here is what fit: a bit of candy, an eraser, a few spiders (all from Target) and I attached some eyeball rings to the outside. I picked those up at Joanns.

So there you have it! Get going on those treats for the kids.

My latest SVG Cuts Design Project was just posted!

Fa-Boo-Lous Guest Designer

Woo hoo! I am so excited to be a guest designer for the Fa-Boo-Lous Halloween Inspiration Week! We love Halloween in our house and look forward  to the entire month of October to celebrate.
I created a fun countdown which starts today at 4 weeks away.

Each treat holder counts down the weeks and also did a holder for the day before and Halloween day.
I used the tombstone box from SVG Cuts latest kit ~ Gimme Candy Boxes SVG Kit.
smalltombstone.svg is cut to 9.327" wide x 4.952" high
insertfortombstone.svg is cut to 9.336" wide x 3.471" high

I also used the Spooky Cuties SVG Collection to accent the treat holders.
All cut on my Sizzix eclips.

I removed the glass from a 12x12 Shadow box frame and once the treat holders were assembled I hot glued them in.
I designed the countdown dates in Adobe Illustrator and used the
Epiphany Crafts Tool to create them.

Here’s a look at each countdown holder and what I placed inside:
